THE DEATH OF BRETT MYCLES

Brett Mycles (real name Robert Sager) (December 2, 1977 - February 24, 2007), was a successful muscle and fitness model who made news when his work earned him the cover of Men's Health Magazine. He was also a featured model for the International Male clothing catalog. As "Brett Mycles" he gained fame as an American male pornographic actor.

He starred in several pornographic movies and posed in gay porn magazines. He worked in gay pornography, but his "attitude" was very much "straight-acting". His actual sexual orientation was bisexual. In a 2005 interview, he said that he recently married his high school sweetheart, who he first met when he was 19 and she was 17.

Born in Houston, Texas, he moved to Ohio and resided in the Los Angeles area. At 22, while in Ohio, he entered an Arnold Classic bodybuilding contest where he was spotted by photographer Irvin Gelb.

In addition to being a "porn star" and nude model, he also was a pre-law student, nude wrestler, fitness model, and personal trainer.

According to information supplied by talent agent David Forest, bodybuilder Mycles died in his sleep on Saturday, February 24. Forest received the information from bodybuilder/ porn star Zeb Atlas who is a Las Vegas resident.Mycles made only a handful of movies for Jet Set in 2000-01 before retiring. Among his titles are Jackhammer and Prime Cut Video Magazine 5-6. He also appeared in Jet Set/ Can-Am co-productions such as Wrestler for Hire."
